Bed and breakfast in the medieval town of Issigeac

Set in the beautiful southern Dordogne is the charming medieval village of Issigeac.

Le Doyenné is a boutique style bed and breakfast (chambre d'hôte) opened in August 2017 set inside our family home which is within the walls of what were originally the village ramparts, part of which date back to the 13th century.

The Doyenné offers three guest rooms: La Parisienne, La Romance and L'air du temps.
Three bedrooms only? Yes, not one more because that's how Jac and Nikki can take care of each of their visitors!

Located in an alley in the village, the guests of the Doyenné will come here to appreciate all the charm of an authentic village in the most absolute comfort. Cozy rooms, warm lounge, soft and scented bedding, a stay at the Doyenné is above all marked by the warm welcome, the smile and the kindness of Nikki and Jac who always do their best to make this stopover in the Dordogne unforgettable.

After a comfortable and peaceful night, the hosts will enjoy a breakfast as tasty as it is hearty: musli, yogurt, croissant and chocolatine, fresh bread, butter, jam, fruit juice and hot drink are served in the restaurant or on the terrace.
At the Doyenné, no freeze-dried coffee or industrial bakery, enjoy your breakfast  with a real bistro coffee and fresh pastries from the oven.

Come and spend a few days with us and take a step back in time!

Our 3 rooms sleep a maximum of 2 people.

Due to the nature of our building children under 12 years cannot be accepted.

Café lounge and restaurant

The restaurant of Le Doyenné offers its guests a tasty breakfast and the possibility of dining for lunch and dinner.
Our restaurant is open every day at noon except Wednesday and Saturday.
On Sunday day of the famous Issigeac market, restaurant and terrace are open from 10 am for a hot chocolate, a coffee or a cold drink and why not, a delicious pastry.

The Doyenné's cuisine is always fresh and mixes with flavor the specialties of the southwest such as the famous duck confit, the flagships of French gastronomy such as crème brûlée or gratin dauphinois and delicious typically English dishes such as the famous carrot- cake.

It is generous, creative cuisine. Homemade dishes are carefully prepared in the kitchen with fresh ingredients.
Elegance and taste are the order of the day for each plate: at the Doyenné dishes can also be tasted with the eyes!

If the food is tasty, the dining room is also worth a detour. The restaurant is located in a beautifully restored 13th century house.

Guests enjoy their meal in "the chapel", a superb room with exposed stone walls and centuries-old beams, all nicely decorated in a warm vintage style.

The service does not lack character: it is Jac who takes care of the guests with all the professionalism and cordiality conferred on him by his many years at the service of the EIffel Tower restaurant (Le Jules Vernes) and the most famous cabaret in the world: the Moulin Rouge!
